Easing Teacher Tension in EdTech Integration
We must push forward with integration of technology in our classroom as a tool and we must focus on student centered classrooms and instruction. However, we cannot lose sight of the anxiety and tension that is created among our teachers in this integration process. We need to stay focused on students but also keep in mind it is also about learning for our teachers. Creating a culture that celebrates effort, growth and risk taking goes a long way in easing anxiety for teachers. A well thought out, needs based professional learning program also helps build teacher capacity to try new strategies or technology.
